Who We Are
ANDY DADDARIO
President – Mirror Image Audio
___________
Andy D’Addario created Mirror Image Audio in 2011 with the inspiration of supporting the Independent Film Maker, Theatrical (Major), Broadcast, Trailer Marketing, Documentary, & Animation.
D’Addario has been nominated 3 times and won 2 back to back Emmy’s for his work on “Mozart in the Jungle” with film makers Paul Weitz, Roman Coppola, and Jason Schwartzman. This also included a Cinema Audio Society win for Mozart’s final season.
In 2020, he added Rental for the Independent Supervisor, Designer, Editor, and Re-Recording mixer. With working from home now becoming so crucial, making our boutique facility available for Independent sound professionals who cannot work at home, yet in a very cost-effective environment. Keeping his facility equipped with the latest state of the art tools including the Avid S6, is his top priority.
Daddario’s career began at Evergreen Studios in Burbank working on film scores such as “The Blues Brothers”, “Caddyshack”, “9 to 5”, and “Urban Cowboy”. Later he then moved to Group IV Recording in Hollywood continuing working on films such as “Romancing the Stone”, “Back to the Future 1”, “Tootsie”, “The Color Purple”, and “On Golden Pond” working with composers Alan Silvestri, Dave Grusin, James Horner, Quincy Jones, and Patrick Williams. During this time, he began his transition to full time mixing.
He has recorded a wide range of musical styles. From working on albums for Pablo Records including Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass, to Scoring Sessions with 70 musicians, Rock & Roll and even Heavy Metal.
Todd AO / Glen Glenn Studios President Chris Jenkins then invited Daddario to join his company where he has since spent the majority of his career under Todd AO, CSS Studios, and Ascent Media companies. He is currently on staff with Formosa Group, and shares his time between both companies. His career also included long stints at the Walt Disney Studios and Universal.
